About The Troy Eagles The
Troy Eagles Junior B Hockey Club was formed to be a college and Junior "A" player development program. We
believe in our commitment to our players on the ice as well as off. Therefore we believe in holding ourselves
and our players accountable to that commitment. The program stresses the following to each player throughout
the season:
Teamwork – No one
is above the team, and that especially holds true in our organization. We emphasize teamwork and a strong
work ethic in order to be successful in a Eagles uniform. We carry a 25 man roster and every player bears
responsibility to himself as well as the team.
Skill Development
– We provide a professional Coaching Staff dedicated to our players all around hockey needs. Our Full -Time
Staff will help them develop their game on and off the ice to maximize not only their skill development, but
also to better understand concepts of the game of hockey itself.
Visibility – Our
team competes in the highly competitive Metropolitan Junior B Hockey League (MJHL) as well as various
showcases throughout the season. We play a 42 game regular season as well as some non-league games. Our
organization will work tirelessly to help promote our players to the next level and help them pursue there
NCAA student-athlete dreams.
Sportsmanship –
We stress a highly disciplined style of play on the ice as well as high standard And code of conduct off the
ice. Coach Rooney’s Eagles can already claim a “Team Sportsmanship Award” at the 2005 Junior B Nationals and
the organization takes pride in helping develop players that respect their opponents, themselves, and the
game.
Leadership – To
provide quality guidance to our players lives while away from the rink. Our Team Housing Complex affords the
Eagles the unique opportunity to provide living arrangements for our players and staff to co-exist in an 8
apt facility. This building is exclusively used by Eagles players and staff and helps the organization
provide some guidance and preparation to its players to help them prepare for their future college
experience.
